Firefighters wishing to attend the funeral for Firefighter Joyce are requested to meet at the Clover St Station no later than 6:30am.
MEMBERS MUST BE IN FULL DRESS CLASS "A" UNIFORM
Members will walk to the train Station to make the 7:10am trip to Riverdale Station in the Bronx. From there, we will walk approximately 1 mile to the Church.

RIP to those lost that fateful day.

RIP to those who have died overseas protecting us from another attack.

Once again Local 596 will be defending their Iron Chef title at the Dutchess County Fair on Saturday, August 29th. The event will start at 12 noon at the arts and crafts building. The secret ingredient will prove to be a tough one this year! Come out and support your brothers.

On June 22nd, 2009 the Poughkeepsie Professional Firefighters held a meet and greet with former NY Mets and NY Yankees pitching great Dwight Gooden. The event was very successful and the Firefighters wish to thank everyone who came out. Special thanks to "Doc" for his support and all the members able to assist. Also, thanks go to the Hudson Valley Renegades organization for all thier help and more importantly for making Tim Gunther wear a sombrero

May 2, 2009: Local 596 supported this years Get Hooked on Fishing with a donation and some Fire Trucks. The 21st annual event took place May 2 and 3 at Morgan Lake in the City of Poughkeepsie. Although the weekend ended with some rain the event turned out around 900 kids. According to Ken Rose, the event organizer, the lake was stocked with trout and some would weigh as much as 5 pounds. About 150 trout were caught and the biggest that was landed was nearly 4 pounds.
