2ND ALARM 84 NORTH WATER ST - DUTTON LUMBER

June 2, 2010: A fire ripped through the Old Dutton Lumber Yard destroying a large warehouse. Firefighters were called to the scene around 7pm and most of the building was involved with fire. Mutual Aid companies from Fairview and Arlington FD assisted at the scene. The fire appears to be suspicious and an investigation is ongoing. There was one Firefighter injured and units cleared the scene around 10pm.

2ND ALARM 46 SOUTH CLINTON STREET

May 29, 2010: Firefighters were dispatched for a reported structure fire at 46 South Clinton St at around 12am. Engine 2 arrived on scene with smoke showing and Unit 20(Eng. 2 Lt.) transmitted the 10-75 bringing in Fairview Fd with their F.A.S.Team. The fire was located in the rear 1st floor but quickly extended to the 2nd and eventually the 3rd floor. The fire was eventually brought under control and units cleared around 7am. The fire is labeled suspicious and one firefighter sustained minor injuries.

10-75 29 SOUTH WHITE ST.

May 22, 2010: Firefighters were dispatched for reported structure fire a 29 South White St around 12pm. Car 10 arrived on scene with smoke showing. A 10-75 was transmitted for a fire in the basement and also Fairview FD with their F.A.S.Team. Firefighters cleared the scene by 2pm and there were no reported injuries.

3rd ALARM FIRE 56 CATHERINE ST


ENGINE 1, 2 AND TOWER LADDER 2 MUTUAL AID TO FAIRVIEW

At 10:53 PM Fairview was dispatched for a structure fire on Winslow Gate Road in the former Hudson River Psychiatric Center grounds. City of Poughkeepsie Engine Two was also dispatched on the initial assignment. On arrival 41-9 reported a fully involved structure and requested an additional engine and ladder from the City of Poughkeepsie. A second alarm was transmitted at 11:01 PM, bringing in Arlington with an engine to the scene and Roosevelt with an engine to cover Fairview’s district.

3rd ALARM 20 PERSHING AVE

Tuesday January 19, 2010: A third alarm fire occurred just after 8pm at 20 Pershing Ave. Firefighters arrived on scene with heavy smoke from the roof of a one story commercial property which is the home of C & W Rug cleaners. First due Engine 2 arrived on scene and transmitted the 10-75 bringing in Fairview with their F.A.S.Team. Poughkeepsie's normal first due Tower Ladder 2 was out of service and Car 10 requested Arlington FD with their Ladder. A third Alarm was transmitted to backfill the City Stations. The fire is still under investigation and there were no reported injuries.
