INCIDENT STORY:
June 6, 2008: Around 8:30, Friday night, firefighters were approached by a person on a bike reporting that we had a "BIG" fire on North White Street. We responded immediately and the fire already had a good head start. Car 10 transmitted the 10-75 signal and there were reports of people trapped. Engine 2 stretched a handline to the second floor and the Tower Ladder crew started a primary search. A second line was stretched but the fire had extended to the attic and command ordered everyone out of the building for an exterior attack. The fire was knocked down from the outside and crews went back in to finish the job. This job went to a third alarm before being placed under control. The primary search proved negative and there were no Firefighter injuries.
