VIDEO - Of Incident Scene

September 8. 2008: Firefighters went to work at 29 Conklin St. with heavy fire on arrival from the first floor of a 2 1/2 story vacant dwelling. With fire extending to second floor and exposure problems, a 2nd Alarm was transmitted bringing in off duty personnel. A 3rd Alarm was transmitted to back-fill the City stations with Highland , Roosevelt, and Arlington fire departments. Reports indicate that this may have been intentionally set by someone who has made threatening phone calls about setting fire to this house. City PD where investigating reports of a man wearing a black mask that was spotted peeking in windows and throwing rocks at houses in the neighborhood.
