City Residents

Local 596 would like to offer the citizens and public groups an invitation to submit any events, fundraisers, or any other information you may want to get out to the public. We can post these items in our "city resident" section of our web-site. Our site averages over 100 hits a day and we utilize an RSS news feed so that any new information is sent out immediately to our subscribers.

To have your event placed on our site, simply send an email to bwilson@local596.com with all the needed information and it will be reviewed and posted.

Schools open!

City Residents

Thursday, September 4th marks the first day of school for all the students in the City of Poughkeepsie. The members of Local 596 wish to offer condolences to the students and congratulations to the parents!

We also ask that drivers remember that most of these students walk to and from school, and to please practice safe driving. Good luck everyone, and have a great year!
